The latest technology implemented with world-class expertise

In addition to project execution, Bateman Litwin has adopted a proactive approach to research and development in the industry. Examples of this approach include:

GTL (Gas to Liquids) Technology

Initial funding for the Syntroleum GTL (Gas to Liquids) technology, a highly efficient process for converting natural gas into synthetic liquid hydrocarbons, including participation in the pilot plant, process development and scale-up activities. This work resulted in BATEMAN acquiring fundamental knowledge of GTL technology and critical success factors in engineering design

Solvent Dewaxing/Deoiling Technology

Development of Solvent Dewaxing/Deoiling Technology through wholly-owned subsidiary Advanced Refining Technologies, Inc. and in cooperation with Process Dynamics Inc., yielding the following benefits:

Lower solvent charges resulting in smaller equipment and solvent recovery energy requirements

Higher filtration temperatures, which, in combination with lower solvent charges, result in lower refrigeration requirements, and

A crystallization mechanism, which results in elimination of costly and high-maintenance scraped surface heat exchangers.

The combination of these benefits enables the debottlenecking of existing units through technology retrofits.
